GROWING MAESTROS' MISSION

Growing Maestros aims to be a centre of excellence in preschool education. We believe that children thrive in an environment which values their own uniqueness, while providing support and opportunities to grow emotionally, socially and creatively. Each child who goes to Growing Maestros gets the tools and support they need to instil the all-important universal skills, by building on the child’s strengths, interests and curiosity.

Children are at the forefront of our program planning and design of the learning environment. Our committed and professionally qualified teachers carefully design all activities to adequately nurture the emotional, intellectual and physical growth of the children. Through stimulating situations and hands-on learning opportunities, children are free to develop their bright young minds.

We welcome and value multiculturalism into our centre by practising a multitude of arts, foreign languages and music. We recognise that family is the most influential factor in a child’s development. Thus we promote a mixed-age or family grouping as the optimum growing environment, in which we guide all our children to explore the world around them, to develop new abilities and form close relationships through our family grouping setting.

In this same spirit, Growing Maestros as an educational institution stands by the principles of the Universal Design of Learning. In this inclusive environment, children actively participate in the design of their learning space. Flexibility and accessibility of intellectual and physical resources are integral to our day-to-day running of the centre. We particularly emphasise the importance of the interactions between the child and the educator and also the children themselves. Through meaningful interaction, children are encouraged to talk, listen, think, problem solve, act and create. Most importantly, we hope to immerse the children with caring gestures, to nurture their beautiful souls, to instill spiritual values and acquire an open-minded disposition towards the cultures of all nations, in becoming an outstanding citizen of our world.
